You can’t unleash your full singing potential if your voice is held captive to a lack of understanding about how it works. You don’t want your voice to be all over the place with a mind all of its own. You want to improve better control of your singing voice.
I’m going to give you a super-effective exercise that will improve your vocal control but not in the way that you think it will. You see, when people first learn to sing, understandably, their singing is all about hitting the right notes. It’s a bit like when a kid starts learning to ride a bike. When my wife and I taught our kids to ride, we started them off with training wheels; two small side wheels that stick out either side of the back wheel. These training wheels are designed to keep the bike upright while the child develops confidence, confidence that only comes from not continually falling off the seat. Learning to sing has a not dissimilar developmental process to learning to ride a bike.
